Get inside your phone.

Well, not literally, not just yet.

BitPim is a really great little piece of software that allows you to access your phone’s hardware, you can get in there and using a standard file explorer, take your phone apart. If you decided to do this, ill give you a challenge.

Challenge One: Verizon wireless phones when on/in use display a Verizon wireless message across the screen. Using BitPim and the HEX EDITOR associated with the program, change it. to what ever you like. It might have to be similar in length. On my EnV2, i used BitPim to show Jacob’s Phone whenever it was connected to the Verizon network.

Welcome To Take It Apart!

Well, summer is here. The days grow longer and warmer, beckoning for youthful sport and activity. My favorite thing to do? TAKE STUFF APART! Whether or not it gets back together is never the point. The reason behind this destructive activity is to find out what things are made of? Is it broken? What broke? Can it be fixed? Is it worth it? But for art school’s sake: What does the inside of something look like, when the only thing you’re supposed to look at is the outside?

So, introduction is out of the way, now for the usual promise of things to come, constant updates and response to comments. But if I have stuff to take apart, I’ll let everybody in on the process.

Thanks for stopping by!

Jacob H.
